It is the last battle in a long war, far away from home. As the Centurion surveys the battlefield, he laments the carnage, the destruction; yet, he is grateful to have survived once more.

Now, he must pick up his battle gear and prepare for the long journey home.

Home . . . the land, the people, the life he loves and misses.

The journey will be long, arduous and uncertain.

Will he truly return?

After trudging across the inhospitable expanses of trackless wasteland, the weary traveler blinks his eyes at the awesome sight of… more trackless wasteland. No more plains and scraggly bushes; this frigid desolation, littered with jagged rocks and assorted crevices, promises ice and flurries of sleet at higher elevations. One ravine opens into another, with craggy peaks beyond. What wonders--and unpleasant surprises--lie there, in the lands beyond the Barren?
